Morning Smoothie Recipe

Every morning/afternoon I have a smoothie as my first meal. This is after I have my green tea/chaga blend and "apple cider/ginger/chlorella" bomb (recipe in other post). 

This is enough for two people or you can drink it throughout the day:

1 very packed cup of organic spinach or kale (I prefer spinach because I find raw kale to be a little bitter). 

1 cup of organic berries. I usually go for blueberries but occasionally mix in raspberries.

16 oz of organic coconut water. Use only PURE coconut water. Read the label and make sure that coconut water is the ONLY ingredient. 

2 tablespoons of organic pea protein.

1 tsp of chia seeds (aids in digestion and boosts metabolism)

1 tsp of Maca powder (superfood - helps maintain energy levels, is good for your skin and packed with calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids. 

1 tsp of Cacao powder (superfood - balances hormone levels, aids in digestion, has anti-aging properties, improves mood, shrinks appetite and allows more serotonin to circulate in the brain). 

1/2 tsp of Organic cinnamon (has antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties).

1 cup of organic non-dairy milk. I like to mix it up between hemp, cashew, almond and coconut. 

 Optional - handful of almonds

Now blend! I use a Vitamix, but any blender will work for this recipe. 

 

Once liquified, add 1 tbs of ground flaxseed and 1 tsp of local bee pollen. 

 

It's actually delicious! I promise :)
